Respite Care

At Abbey Healthcare, our respite care is a temporary haven for both individuals and their caregivers, providing a supportive and enriching environment that allows for a much-needed break, ensuring peace of mind and rejuvenation in the comforting surroundings of our care homes.

Supporting caregivers by caring for loved ones in a safe and homely environment.

At Abbey Healthcare we will always try to understand and admire your commitment of being a carer for either your loved one or a family member. The choices you have made to provide this care allows your loved one to remain at home surrounded by the people they love.

However, we also understand the pressures you are under with the everyday emotional and physical stress which can become overwhelming and exhausting. Our care homes can help, with our various flexible respite packages that will enable you to recoup whether it is a trip away or just some time to yourself to recharge your batteries all with the knowledge knowing that your loved one is in a safe, homely and welcoming environment.

With our trained staff and 24/7 care services whether residential or nursing we will endeavour to make your loved one feel at home. We ensure that your loved one’s preferences are met, and their short stay care plan is tailored to their individual needs.

All our homes provide an array of activities delivered by our trained wellbeing staff to nourish the minds and body including gentle exercise, day trips and crafts. Our care staff always take the time to get to know your loved ones by listening to their stories and understand their likes and dislikes, building relationships and sharing moments so they never feel alone.

Our chefs also work tirelessly to meet all your loved one’s nutritional needs ensuring that their dietary requirements are met, and choices provided.

“Although my Uncle was only there a few days before he was taken to hospital, they took great care of him and the staff were very friendly and helpful to us. He settled in really quickly and enjoyed the food while he was there.?I would like to thank everyone who looked after him. You provide excellent service and the facilities are brilliant.?Many Thanks.”
