Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator
Kendal Care Home, Burton Road, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 7RG
Contract: 37.5 hours weekly
Rota Basis
Key responsibilities
- To help and encourage residents to socialise within the home
- To plan and initiate monthly rolling / individual programme, and encourage residents to maintain any pre-existing hobbies.
- To provide and plan a variety of leisure and lifestyle opportunities that cater for all resident’s tastes
- Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Homes activities.
- To assist with fund raising and budgeting for entertainments, materials and outings
- To discuss the aims and objectives of recreation therapy with other Staff Members
- Accompany service users, where possible, to off-site leisure and lifestyle opportunities, which may occasionally take place out with normal working hours.
- To be committed in delivering physical and emotional needs to all residents in a dignified and respectful manor
- To maintain accurate, concise and timely documentation, reporting on changes of wellbeing to the General Manager or the person in charge
- To be committed in expanding your knowledge and personal development
- To work collaboratively with Oomph
