Care Catering Team of the Year
Our catering teams across Abbey Healthcare have been shortlisted for Care Catering Team of the Year, an award that recognises the dedication, creativity and passion behind every meal served to our residents. This nomination reflects the hard work that goes on in our kitchens every single day, from thoughtful menu planning to the small, personal touches that turn a meal into a genuine moment of care.
Great catering in a care home setting isn’t just about food on a plate. It’s about nutrition, dignity, choice and comfort, all delivered with warmth. Our teams consistently go above and beyond to create dining experiences that residents genuinely look forward to, and we couldn’t be prouder to see that work recognised on a national stage.
Catering Manager of the Year: Jo Ankers
We’re equally delighted that Jo Ankers has been shortlisted for Catering Manager of the Year. Jo’s leadership, innovation and unwavering commitment to excellence have played a huge part in shaping the standard of catering across our homes, and this individual recognition is thoroughly well deserved.
The NACC National Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and outstanding contributions across the care catering sector, and being named among the finalists is a wonderful achievement in itself. It’s a moment to pause and recognise the people who make such a meaningful difference to residents’ everyday lives — often behind the scenes, and always with heart.
