WALKDEN IN BLOOM x KENYON LODGE PLANTING DAY
Wednesday brought more than just sunshine to Manchester Road — it brought laughter, community spirit, and a splash of vibrant colour to Kenyon Lodge Care Home, thanks to an unforgettable planting day with Walkden in Bloom!
Our front garden was transformed into a rainbow of blooms as residents, families, staff, and local volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty — all in the name of creating something truly beautiful for our home and our town. From green-fingered grandmas to little local helpers, it was a true team effort filled with smiles and stories.
And of course, no community day would be complete without a BBQ… though someone did get a little too excited and ended up watering the grill instead of the garden! 🌭🌱😂 Let’s just say the ketchup wasn’t the only thing with a bit of a kick!
